On Saturday night in Columbus, Minnesota United pushed their away winning streak to four with a come-from-behind with over the Crew. Columbus dominated possession in the first half and earned a goal for their work. The Crew scored and early second half goal to put the Loons down two. But a Kelvin Yeboah brace and a Markanich header brought MNUFC a huge win as we close the first third of the MLS season.

For the final match of a few consecutive weeks of midweek matches, Cameron Knowles made heavy rotation to the starting eleven. Though the eleven also looked to what we've come to expect recently with Gene and Triantis in the midfield along with Yeboah at striker and Duggan at centre-back.

Columbus controlled the momentum in much of the first half of play and did the same statistically as well. The Crew out-shot, out-possessed, and out-passed the Loons during the first forty-five minutes. Columbus only managed one shot on target, but they made it count with Taha Habroune getting the opener just past the half hour mark.

Ten minutes into the second half the Crew doubled the lead from a Hugo Picard goal and appeared to start running away with the match.

However Minnesota United would not let them do that as three minutes later, just before hitting the 60th minute, Kelvin Yeboah got one for the Loons.

In the 66th minute, Yeboah struck again to equalise with just over 20 minutes to play.

And from there it didn't take long for Minnesota to score a third. This time coming from Nectarios Triantis and being headed in by who else but Anthony Markanich to put the Loons ahead with 15 minutes until the final whistle.

MNUFC held out the final quarter hour and left Columbus, OH with a win and three valuable points. After eleven matches played, MNUFC now sits 5th in the Western Conference with 20 points and four matches until the break. Up next for Minnesota United is a re-match with Austin FC on Sunday evening at Allianz Field in St. Paul. Kickoff is set for 6pm in the second to final match of Round 12.
