With a draw in their last match out, Forward Madison extended their unbeaten streak to three matches. Madison has only suffered a single loss since early June and that streak continued this week. An early first half goal was followed up by a goal near the hour mark for Madison. Richmond was shown a red card in stoppage time, before almost immediately scoring to make the match a one goal difference, where it ended.

Richmond Kickers 1 – 2 Forward Madison
Forward Madison might have been on the road, but they came out of the gate like they owned City Stadium in Richmond, VA. Two minutes into the match Roman Torres scored the opener for the 'Mingos to put the visitors up early. Richmond then took control of the match after the quick opening goal, but were unable to net a goal until quite late into the match.
Just before the match his the hour mark the Flamingos struck again with a goal from Eddie Munjoma to make it 2–0 in favour of Madison. 18 total shots and 5 on target for the Kickers didn't do much to stifle Forward. After having been shown a yellow already in stoppage time, Richmond's Hayden Anderson was carded after a dangerous studs up tackle. The referee didn't even bother showing a second yellow, rather going for a straight red in the 90+3'. Minutes later the Kickers broke the shutout with a messy goal from inside the six to at least break the shutout.

Foward Madison vs One Knoxville - Wednesday at 7pm
Madison comes back home Wednesday for the first of two matches on the week as they host One Knoxville SC. Knox is unbeaten in four, but the last three of their matches have been draws and sit in fourth place. Madison themselves sit in 3rd place with 43 points, just three points down from shield leaders Charlotte Independence.
Foward Madison at Corpus Christi FC - Saturday at 7:30 pm
Once they finish up with the Eastern Tennessee club, it'll be prepping for a road trip to Texas as on Saturday the 'Mingos face the Sharks in Corpus Christi. 10th place Corpus Christi FC lost their only meeting with Forward Madison back in late May and need a win as they pursue a playoff spot. A win for Madison in both matches this week could have the 'Mingos end the round topping the table.
