Minnesota United is set to hit the road to Portland this weekend for their second and final meeting of the season with the Timbers. Last time out the Loons dropped Portland 2–0 and last time in the Rose City they took home a 1–1 draw. We stopped in Blaine for a look at the boys in black and blue before they head out to the PNW.

With Devin Padelford loaned out to New York Red Bulls that gives a temporary hit to the defence. Padelford has been able to cover a few different positions on the defensive end for the Loons. Knowles noted how the Minnesotan is hard working but that it is a great opportunity for him. As with his loan to St. Louis, Knowles is expecting to see more growth and progression once he returns to the team.
