Minnesota Soccer Mailbag: College soccer is here!

There was a lot of news in Minnesota soccer this past week and even more events coming up next week.

With the non-league season gone, the college soccer season is here. Division I women's programs started their seasons last week with their first non-conference matches. This week the men's programs begin their seasons with the first matches of non-conference play. On top of college soccer starting, MLS resumed the season following the end of the Leagues Cup group stage.

Last Weeks News

Five more Minnesota Aurora players going pro, four were announced earlier last week and later in the week Taylor Fox signed with Icelandic club Grindavík/Njarðvík.

Last Tuesday MNUFC broke a nine match winless streak with a 3–1 win in their final Leagues Cup match against Atlante.

University of Minnesota Gopher soccer opened their 34th season last Thursday with a 4–0 win over the North Dakota Fighting Hawks.
