Worldwide Loons
Hoyeon Jung (Suwon Samsung Bluewings, K League 2): The Bluewings have had an amazing start to the campaign at 6-1-1 (19 points) only behind this weeks opponents, Busan IPark. It's the second matchup of the weekend for any of the players, kicking off at midnight CT on Friday night/Saturday morning. You can watch the match (FREE) on K League TV.
Wessel Speel (Shelbourne FC, League of Ireland): Shelbourne FC have fallen to the bottom half of the LOI Premier Division after losing three matches on the skid. Shelbourne has the first match of the weekend as they face 9th place Drogheda United today at at 1:45pm CT. That match can be seen on (PAID) LOI TV, which is the streaming service for the entire League of Ireland system.
Matúš Kmeť (FC DAC 1904, Niké liga): In Slovakia the season is winding down with just four matches to play and the title race is nearly over. FC DAC are seven points back from first place Slovan Bratislava and need a a lot to go their way to win the Slovak title. This weekend DAC faces Zilina in a Championship Group match that could keep DAC in the hunt or kill their title hopes. OneFootball TV (PAID) carries all Niké liga matches, with this one taking place at 1:45pm CT on Saturday.
Momoh Kamara (IF Elfsborg, Allsvenskan): It's only the fifth round in Sweden, but Elfsborg has started amazing with three wins and a draw in the opening four matches. Allsvenskan is one of my personal favourite league's to watch and follow due to it's unpredictability. Sadly though the Allsvenskan does not have a streaming service or US television deal meaning Monday afternoon's match against second bottom Kalmar FF is inaccessible to most of our readership.
Loons in the USL
All USL matches (Championship, League One, and women's Super League) are available on ESPN+ (PAID) in the United States and YouTube (FREE) internationally.
Babacar Niang (Louisville City, USLC): On loan with now MNUFC assistant Danny Cruz's former club, LouCity has a 6pm matchup on Saturday in the USL Cup against USL1 side Fort Wayne FC.
Curt Calov (San Antonio FC, USLC): Coming off their first win since late Match, San Antonio wants to make a run in the USL Cup. They open that tournament with group stage play on Saturday at 7:30pm against fellow USLC side Birmingham Legion.
Britton Fischer (Hartford Athletic, USLC) & Logan Dorsey (Rhode Island FC, USLC): On a five match winless streak it's been a rough month for Hartford and it's not getting easier anytime soon. For Rhode Island they've gone five matches unbeaten and look to keep the streak alive. It's a New England and Loons on Loan Derby this weekend with Hartford hosting RIFC at 6:00pm CT in the USL Cup.
Kage Romanshyn Jr. (Forward Madison, USL1): Last but not least is the only player loaned out to a League One side and the easiest player to watch travel wise. Kage and Forward Madison are on a massive season opening road swing due to turf replacement at Breese Stevens Field. This weekend that trip takes them to Lexington, KY for a USL Cup showdown against Championship side Lexington SC at 6:00pm CT on Saturday night.
