Minnesota Blizzard 7-9 Omaha Kings

At the start of their mammoth 6-game home stand, the Blizzard welcomed Omaha Kings into the cozy confines of Centennial. The last meeting of the season between these two teams went the way of the visitors from Nebraska, with an eventual lopsided score, as had the first match. Including last weekend's win, the Kings entered the game on a 3-game winning streak, with a 3-4-1 record. However, they had yet to record a point on the road.

Blizzard lined up an unchanged starting 6 of GK Letona, Defenders Maldonado and Overturf, Defensive Midfielder DeBois, Attacking Midfielder DiGrado, and Target Forward Weller. Angel Olivo takes over the substitute GK jersey. Onto the bench come Defensive Midfielders Diego Yang and Jared Garcia, Defender Evan Moreno, and Attacking Midfielder Xavier Brown for Attacking Midfielders Francesco Esteban and Joe Wainwright, and Defender Kevin Ortiz.

Kings travelled with a 16-man squad. Starting GK is Efran Flores, Morgan Penn, and Murilo Ceruli are the Defenders, Bobby Jaffery and Manuel Lira anchor the Midfield, and the starting Target Forward is Daniel Zuckweiler, taking the starting spot which Alencar possessed last weekend.

On the bench, facing the Blizzard for the second game in a row are GK Hartin; Defenders Gaiotto, and Brito; Midfielders Alencar and Sodal, and Target Forward Rossi. Out go Defenders Josue Jimenez and Brenden Flannell, in come Defender Jordan Rhodes, Midfielders Leonides Mejia and Angelo Sanchez, and Target Forward Bryan Arellano. Of note, Kings had a second successive Player of the Week nod, with Flores named Defensive Player of the Week.
