Four matches are down in the 2026 Minnesota Aurora season and after a three match road swing, the club finally returns home to TCO Stadium. The road swing was a successful one for the Twin Cities only USL W League club as they came away with three victories, pushing their record to 4-0-0 (12 points) on the season.

First came a toughly contested 2–0 win over Rally Madison over Memorial Day weekend in front of a crowd of well over 4,000 fans that packed into Breese Stevens Field. The following week Aurora bested the Rockford Raptors 1–0 in the two clubs first ever meeting against each other.

Rounding out the road trip was a meeting with Aurora, IL based side River Light FC at their new home of the Marmion Academy Stadium. That match saw Maia Tabion score the opening goal of the match in the 28th minute to tally her first of the season. Then in the 63rd minute Aurora's own Skye Leach scored a second goal to give the visitors some breathing room and end up taking a 2–0 win.

Now Minnesota Aurora is back home for two matches this weekend opening tonight against Rally Madison. Unlike most clubs in the division, if not league, Rally will be ready for the crowd at TCO Stadium after having well over 4,000 fans show up and out for their home opener on Memorial Day weekend. Rally did get progressively better as the match went on, throwing their body on the line and forcing a high press in the second half that gave Aurora some trouble.

Aurora's defence held out and was able to clear almost every chance Rally got on the night. Something not surprising for the best defensive team in the entire W League. They key for Aurora will be taking advantage of and converting more of their chances offensively. Something that manager Jen Larrick stated is a focus of the team as we head towards the run into the playoffs.

News & Notes

Midfielder Skye Leach is currently at camp with the Philippines Women's National Team, while defender Talia Coury is with the Mexico Women's National Team. Both players are expected to miss both matches this weekend while at their respective national team camps.

Tonight's match against Rally Madison is Women of Inspiration night. Multiple women's sports teams from the Twin Cities will be there as will Olympic snowboarder Iris Pflum and Olympic speedskater Greta Myers.

Next up for Aurora is a Saturday evening home match against RKC Third Coast. Not only is Saturday's match Pride Night but it is also the second match of a women's sports double header with the Lynx playing earlier that day.
