As the season winds to a close this month it is becoming clear who will and will not make the UMAC Playoffs. UW-Superior is a near guarantee to make both the men's and women's playoffs. The Yellowjackets are tied for first with Northwestern-St. Paul at 5-1-0 (W-D-L) in UMAC play. Northwestern has the better overall record at 7-2-1, but UW-Superior (5-3-5) have put plenty of challenging opponents on their schedule.
Yellowjacket men claim the top spot all for themselves with a 6-0-0 record in the conference at the halfway point. Bethany Lutheran sits in second with a 5-0-1 record in UMAC play. Both have done relatively well outside the conference with the 'Jackets being 8-1-3 and the Vikings sitting at 7-1-5. But in similar fashion to the women's side, the Yellowjackets have had the much tougher schedule.
