This season the UMAC has been struggling in non-conference play, most recently with North Central being smashed by Saint John's in a MIAC/UMAC clash. But with the conference season underway that now takes priority for the UMAC teams. Through the first few weeks of conference play UW-Superior's teams top both the men's and women's tables. Last season the Yellowjacket men went an unbeaten 12-0 in UMAC play while the women finished 8-3-1 (W-D-L) and won the conference tournament. Could UWS remain Superior this season? Only time will tell.
