Alongside the MIAC, Minnesota's other Division 3 conference the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) has also kicked off conference play. But with only seven teams in the conference, there will almost always be at least one non-conference match per week. With that it means more UMAC/MIAC and UMAC/WIAC showdowns over the course of the season. Currently the UMAC is struggling against both conferences and that wasn't helped by the Saint Benedict Bennies and the Hamline Pipers thrashings of the Minnesota-Morris Cougars.
