Twoons pull out a win against Sporting Kansas City II

Despite the biggest competitor, the wind, MNUFC2 came out on top last weekend

On Sunday MNUFC2 faced Sporting Kansas City II at Children's Mercy Victory Field. Sunday in Missouri was the Twos fourth match of the 2026 season, as they looked to rebound following back to back losses to St Louis City 2 (3-0), and Whitecaps FC 2 (2-1). Marcus Caldeira, a first team acquisition brought in ahead of the season, has been showcased this season with the MNUFC2 as he aims to regain fitness following a lengthy wait for his visa. Caldeira scored 3 out of 4 goals in the Twos opening win at Austin FC, which earned him plenty of mentions during the broadcast.

MNUFC2 kicked off to open the match and minutes into the contest an intense wind showed up that became an unspoken competitor on the field. What ended us as the only goal on the evening was scored by Darius Randall in the 23rd minute, following a counter attack started by Caldeira.
