With less than two months and only nine matches left before the MLS Cup playoffs begin the question now for Minnesota United is "can we make the playoffs?" One full week between matches and more on pitch training will absolutely help the Loons compared to most of the focus and ability being in the video room. But the loss of Michael Boxall this weekend due to yellow card accumulation doesn't help a Loons defence that has been struggling as of late.

Yesterday the Loons got one set of positive news. Kyle Duncan's one match ban, due to his second yellow last weekend, was overturned upon appeal to MLS. Duncan's suspension being overturned is welcome news to a team short on defenders at the moment with Padelford being loaned to RBNY and Valerius yet to join the team.
