Twosies announce end of season roster updates

With the best season in team history in the rear view mirror MNUFC2 announced their end of season roster updates this week. The Twoons finished 2025 with a record of 12-10-6 (W-L-D) in fifth place in the Western Conference, giving the Twos their first ever playoff appearance. MNUFC2 then won two playoff games on the road to send them to the Western Conference final, where they ultimately fell 2–1 in regulation to Colorado Rapids 2. Over the course of the season Kieran Chandler, Darius Randell, and Wessel Speel signed first team contracts and six other players making first team appearances during the season.

Departing MNUFC2

Three players are set to depart the club including the Loons 2025 MLS SuperDraft first round pick Roman Torres. Torres spent most of the season with USL Championship side Birmingham Legion, making 15 appearances with the Legion in his time in Alabama. Former Cornell Big Red captain Kisa Kiingi and local product Muba Nour will also be departing the club.

In Negotiations

Goalkeeper Kayne Rizvanovich who started 14 of the 28 regular season matches for the Twos and all three playoff matches is out of contract and in negotiations to re-sign with the Twos. Rizvanovich stepped into the starter role when Wessel Speel was brought up to the first team and gave up only 20 goals between the regular season and playoffs. Britton Fischer, who made one first team appearance and attacking midfielder Luke Hille, who scored 10 goals for the Twos are also in negotiations to re-sign for 2026.

Exercised Option

MNUFC2 exercised the club option on four players for the 2026 season in addition to exercising it’s option to purchase Momoh Kamara. Kamara joined the Twos on a full season loan from Mattia Football Club in Sierra Leon and will join the Twoons permanently in 2026.
