Loons unveil ‘Decade Kit’ ahead of the clubs 10th season in MLS

This morning MNUFC dropped their new 2026 “Decade Kit” celebrating the club’s 10th season in Major League Soccer. While 10 years isn’t a long time in footballing club terms, it’s a huge achievement for fans of a club that was on death’s door just about 15 years ago. The new kit throws in some details from each one of Minnesota’s kits and while fantastic, isn’t quite as timeless as the original Loon Wing design.
The front of the kit features a “loon-wing pattern” with the colour being pulled from the 2025 Heritage Kit along with a black sash, hearkening back to Minnesota’s first kit in Major League Soccer. The jock tag features the Loons 10th Season logo, a white outline of MNUFC’s Loon logo on the neck, and a crest featuring some added stars in the grey portion. Once again the kit features Target as the primary sponsor (returning for the 10th season) and Nutri Source pet food (owned by Minnesota based KLN Family Brands) as the sleeve sponsor.
The club has said the kit is an homage to not just the last nine seasons, but also Minnesota itself.
An homage to the Loons’ past, the ‘Decade Kit’ sprinkled numerous details that reference back to previous kits from across the last nine seasons. Fans will first notice the rippling patterns of a Common Loon’s wing are cut across by a pure black sash, reimagining the blue sash on MNUFC’s inaugural jersey, which represents the Mississippi River. This reverse sash, honoring the natural beauty and resilience of Minnesota, brings past and present into one.
Fan reaction to the new kit has been positive with a fan stating: “For once (besides the Wing) #MNUFC put out a kit I really like. Looking forward to seeing this in person.” Another fan said, “I like it. Makes me think of Seattle’s Salish Kit (but not in a bad way).” One Loons fan from South Dakota went further, saying “I kinda like it. It feels plain, which is not a bad thing. But it’s got a little design on it that has a bit of starry motif that’s nice, but not overbearing.”
The kit is on sale now at MNUFC’s website, MLS Shop, and the Black and Blue Team Store at Allianz Field.
