Minnesota United have kind of made their second signing of the transfer window. MNUFC2 the clubs second team in MLS Next Pro have signed Kluiverth Aguilar to a deal through the end of the 2026 season. The 23 year old Peruvian defender joins the club as the Twoons have just six regular season matches to play and sit one point below the playoff line.
“We welcome Kluiverth to the team and look forward to seeing him continue to develop his skills and grow as a player here at our club,” said MNUFC2 Head Coach Fanendo Adi. “His depth of playing experience at his age is impressive and will be a valuable addition to our squad for the rest of the year. We are eager to see him join the team and compete when he makes his way to full fitness soon.”
Aguilar joins from Belgian side Lommel SK, who were promoted to the top flight after winning the Challenger Pro League playoffs at the end of the 2025/26 season. Prior to joining Lommel SK, Kluiverth was purchased by Manchester City for £1.5 million from Peruvian club Alianza Lima, where he started his career. His time with Man City was very brief as they immediately sent him on loan to Lommel, where he has played since 2021.
“I am very happy to join this club here in Minnesota,” said defender Kluiverth Aguilar. “I am excited to come aboard, and I look forward to contributing my experience to help achieve our shared goals the rest of this season.”
