Two teams came into the fourth week of conference play without having taken a loss in the conference. Both of those teams lost their second match of the weekend, losing their unbeaten status. Northern State (SD) Wolves started the weekend with a win over Southwest Minnesota State but finished with a loss to Sioux Falls, ending their NSIC unbeaten run. In huge shock Minnesota State headed to Duluth as the heavy favourites. But the UMD Bulldogs thrashed the Mavericks, handing the MSU squad their first loss of the entire season.
