Minnesota State may be on top of the NSIC soccer table, but the Mavericks haven't clinched the title. University of Mary Marauders have won their last four and are unbeaten in their last ten played. That run has put the Marauders just two points back from MSU with two weeks left in the season. Mary's only NSIC loss was to the Mavs back in September and unless MSU drops points, Mary won't take the regular season title.
At the bottom of the table only one team, Minnesota Crookston, remains winless after 12 matches in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles are 0-5-10 (W-D-L) including non-conference play and desperate for a win. Just above them is the Winona State Warriors who have four points and if UMC should win a match the Warriors very well could pickup the NSIC wooden spoon.
