Dayne St. Clair made a number of key saves to keep Minnesota United in contention for a win over Austin FC and then host the US Open Cup Final. The match was scoreless until Austin FC scored the opening goal in the final seconds of stoppage time of the first half. Joaquín Pereyra then delivered and excellent free kick to draw level in the 68'. The Loons had a few last grasps at a game winner before it looked like it was to be decided by penalty kicks. In the 120' after Dayne St. Clair made an initial save and the ball was deflected to CJ Fodrey when he scored a goal and snatched away from the Loons in the final seconds for an Austin FC victory.
