The two teams battled it out and Anthony Markanich scored a brace which included a late match equalizer followed by the match winner three minutes later.

The Loons got the luck of the draw and have been awarded hosting rights through the remainder of their time in the tournament. Minnesota have a great opportunity to force the road to the final to be routed through Saint Paul. Next up for the Loons in the U.S. Open Cup is a match against the Chicago Fire on July 8.   [uncode_block id="219" inside_column="yes"]
