Minnesota soccer rolled over the Maryland Terrapins on Friday night in St. Paul, giving Gopher head coach Erin Chastain her 50th win at the helm of the program. A plethora of shots in the first half, though just a single goal, started the night off well for the hosts. The Maroon and Gold added a trio of goals early in the second half to run away with a dominate victory of the University of Maryland. Minnesota now moves to 3-1-2 (W-D-L) in the Big Ten while Maryland is now 0-0-6.
Erin Chastain brought only two changes into the Gophers eleven from their last outing against Purdue. Outgoing was Caroline Birdsell and Keegan Schmeiser and in for the pair was Tenley Senden and Hannah Heinlein. Maryland made a trio of changes to their eleven, who are coming off a 2–0 loss to UCLA.
Starting Eleven for the #Gophers and Terrapins. Maryland goalkeeper Faith Luckey comes into tonight's match off a six save performance against UCLA. Minnesota head coach Erin Chastain enters with 49 wins and a win tonight would be her 50th career win as Gopher HC. #SkiUMah | #FearTheTurtle
