Last weekend Minnesota headed off to the Hoosier State for a two match swing starting in Bloomington and ending in West Lafayette. The Gopher's first game against the Indiana Hoosiers saw Minnesota scoring a pair of second half goals to come out with a major win. Their second game in the state didn't go as well, with the Gophers giving up a trio of early first half goals en route to a 3–0 defeat at the hands of the Boilermakers.

Indiana 1 – 2 Gophers
Minnesota's trip to Indiana started with a swing to the south as they played the Hoosiers of Indiana University in Bloomington. Neither of the two teams were able to break out with a first half goal, leaving the match deadlocked at nil-nil heading into the break. Eight minutes into the second half though the Gophers got on the board first thanks to Ava Westlund bagging her fourth goal of the season.
Five minutes later Caroline Birdsell added to the total and put the Gophers up 2–0 with just over a half hour to play. Minnesota's defence had to fight off a strong Indiana side, who got eight shots during the half. Goalkeeper Sarah Martin snagged three saves and held a clean sheet into the final 10 minutes. But Indiana's Maggie Ledwith tallied an 85th minute goal to break the shutout, though the Hoosiers couldn't find a second goal to end the evening.
Purdue 3 – 0 Gophers
Coming off a huge win in Indiana the Gophers headed north to West Lafayette, IN to face Purdue. The Boilermakers, who came in without a marquee win, hammered the Gophers to take their fourth consecutive win. 12 minutes in the Boilermakers McKenzie Carle scored the opener for the hosts, which was followed up by a 15th minute goal from Jaiden Anderson. Irene Campo capped off the scoring for the hosts in the 23rd minute. Just under 70 minutes and 17 shots later, Minnesota didn't have anything to show on the scoreboard and fell hard to finish off the trip.
This Week
Gophers vs Maryland
Minnesota now returns home to face the Maryland Terrapins on Friday night at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium in St. Paul. The Gophers host Rock the Robbie that night and aim for a season high crowd and a win on their home pitch to avoid heading into a winless skid. Maryland are 3-1-7 (W-D-L) overall and 0-0-5 in Big Ten play this season. The Terrapins have not won a single match away from their home turf this season and have only held a team to less than two goals once while on the road this year.
