One month is left in the transitional fall season of the USL's Super League. Next year the league will move to a spring to fall calendar, becoming the second league to make the switch after starting with a fall to spring format. Through the first few months of the campaign there is a clear leader atop the table, who have already secured a spot into the four team post-season.
Fall season to this point:
1st Place: Carolina Ascent (8-2-1, 26 points)
Carolina has basically clinched a bid in the post-season and are by a large margin the top team in the USLS. October went well for the Ascent with three wins and one draw, which came against last place Fort Lauderdale. The run extended Carolina's unbeaten streak to eight and could hit eleven should they win their final three matches.
2nd Place: DC Power (5-2-3, 17 points)
After finishing in 6th place during the 2025/26 season the Power have had a much better fall season. With three wins in their last five matches, DC has turned around a fall season that started rough. Four winnable games remain for the Power and DC could be looking at a playoff spot should they keep their momentum going.
3rd Place: Sporting Jax (4-4-2, 16 points)
Four draws in ten matches are a lot for any club, but for Jacksonville it has propelled them into third place. Two draws and a win in October extended their unbeaten run to four matches. Now Jax has a tough end to the fall season, facing both Carolina and DC once more before the playoffs begin.
4th Place: Lexington SC (4-2-4, 14 points)
Defending league champion Lexington SC have had a bit of a drop off this fall and sit above the playoff line on goal difference. Playing five matches in October saw the club go 1-2-2, hurting their spot in the standings and pushing them to the edge of a playoff bid. But November could be a welcome sign for the Kentucky club as they only face one top four club the remainder of the season.
5th Place: Dallas Trinity (4-2-4, 14 points)
Dallas currently sits in 5th place on goal difference, after the month of October saw Trinity go 1-1-1. North Texas' only professional women's club has four matches remaining and have a good chance to make the playoffs. However Trinity will face three of the top four clubs in the Super League during the final month of play. Dallas only won a single match against a top half team this season, coming back in mid-September against DC Power.
6th Place: Brooklyn FC (3-2-5, 11 points)
Playoffs will be hard but not impossible to make for New York's "other" women's professional club. Two draws and two wins in October has led Brooklyn on a four match unbeaten run. But like Dallas, the DC Power will face three of the top four teams in the league. Time is running out in Brooklyn, but should they keep their current form going Brooklyn could just end up in the playoffs.
7th Place: Tampa Bay Sun (2-3-5, 9 points)
Tampa Bay comes into November on six match winless skid, including four losses on the bounce. The Sun's last win came back on 12 September against Fort Lauderdale and was their second win of the season and in a row. While not mathematically eliminated the Sun are in need of and unbeaten run just to sniff the playoffs.
8th Place: Fort Lauderdale FC (2-1-8, 7 points)
A three match winless skid was the lowlight of a month that saw Fort Lauderdale go 1-1-3. Fort Lauderdale have lost seven of their last nine matches and only managed a single win in the meantime. While not mathematically out of the playoff race, it is going to be a struggle for Fort Lauderdale to get into the top four.
